Miniaturists near and far, have you seen the latest miniature addictions to be announced or released this week? If not, fear not, for it’s that time again for you and I to share in our mutual addiction and see what’s in store for our wallets. You guess it, it’s time for another Wishlist Wednesday!

After last week, I feel as though someone snuck into the artillery magazine and tossed in a match because I’ve exploded with interest in Napoleonic gaming. Not only did I order that sweet set I mentioned in last week’s wishlist, but I also ordered a book on uniforms to ensure my paint jobs are up to snuff and a copy of Sharp Practice by Too Fat Lardies! As for the catalogue, I’ve gone through it with a fine tooth comb and checked off any items that tickled my fancy and conspicuously left it on the coffee table for the missus to “accidentally” stumble upon *hint hint, wink wink*

Despite the firm grasp that historical gaming has had on my attention as of late, there are a few gems that have piqued my interest over the last few days. Like many of you, I am loving what I’m seeing from the upcoming Blackstone Fortress by Games Workshop. I loved Warhammer Quest Silver Tower when it came out, and if that is any indication of what they’re planning for this game, I’m excited to see GW taking a more narrative approach to the 41st millennium. I’m particularly fond of the Chaos Undivided marines in the set, though there’s only three of them. I can only hope this means we’ll see a new batch of plastics for them, since the only Chaos marines available at the moment are the older sculpts from the early 2000’s, and the Chosen marines offered in the Dark Vengeance set when 6/7th edition released. This is one of those times where the “baddies” in the set seem to be stealing the spotlight from the heroes—even the traitor guardsmen in the set are looking quite dapper with their make shift armour and weapons, and let’s not get started on those awesome gas masks.

I’m also still hard at work on my Protectorate of Menoth army for Warmachine, so it comes as no surprise that the recently released Hand of Silence solo is on my wishlist. It’s an impressive lookingcavalry model that oozes that holy crusader vibe that Menoth is known for, but also the stoic and stalwart vibe their monks give off with those masks of theirs.

That’s all from my neck of the woods for now, I’ve been neck-deep in entries for last month’s video so I’m sure some announcements and previews have flown under my radar. Not only that, but I’ve been admiring the work a lot of you have been doing. In particular, I’m enamored with Turhan Buckley’sDropzone Commander Shaltari models. I love the matte bone colour he went with for the hulls and then contrasted it with a glossy black to give it a truly alien/organic vibe. The Shaltari were probably the only faction that didn’t appeal to me, but after seeing Turhan’s work, if I get the game, I may think twice about doing them after all!

Anywho, next week is a holiday week, but I will be looking to do a special edition of the Wishlist with a compilation list of any and all upcoming sales for Black Friday or Christmas, so between now and next Tuesday if you hear verifiable rumour of any sort of offers either from companies direct or from web stores, drop me a line with the pertinent info and any links to it.
